    Pocket Wi-Fi or eSIM (internet everywhere is essential for navigation)
    Noise-canceling headphones (long trains + flights)
    Camera + extra SD cards if you do photography

    Any medication you need (Japan has strict rules on imports—keep in original packaging)
    Travel-size toiletries — your favorite brands may not be available.

    Hand sanitizer + tissues (some bathrooms don’t have soap)

    🌸 Spring (March – May)

    Weather: Mild and comfortable. Early spring can be chilly; late spring becomes warm.
    Temperature Range: 8–20°C (46–68°F)
    What It Feels Like: Cool mornings/evenings, warm afternoons. Occasional rain. Cherry blossom season is early spring.

    Spring Must-Haves:
    Light jacket or trench coat
    Layering pieces (cardigans, long sleeves)
    Comfortable walking shoes
    Compact umbrella or rain jacket
    Allergy medication (pollen season is strong)

    ☀️ Summer (June – August)

    Weather: Hot, humid, sticky. June is rainy season; July–August are extremely humid with strong sun.
    Temperature Range: 22–35°C (72–95°F)
    What It Feels Like: Very humid; sweat-heavy days; sudden downpours; typhoon season starts late summer.

    Summer Must-Haves:
    Moisture-wicking clothing
    Cooling towel / hand fan
    Sunscreen (UV is strong)
    Hat + sunglasses
    Electrolyte packets
    Portable umbrella (rainy season)
    Insect repellent

    🍁 Autumn (September – November)

    Weather: Starts hot/humid in early September, then becomes crisp and cool. One of the best times to visit.
    Temperature Range: 12–25°C (54–77°F)
    What It Feels Like: Warm early, cool later. Beautiful fall foliage, low humidity after October.

    Autumn Must-Haves:
    Light jacket or sweater
    Layers (temperatures swing between day/night)
    Foldable rain jacket

    ❄️ Winter (December – February)

    Weather: Cold, dry air. Snow in northern regions (Hokkaido, Tohoku) and ski areas. Tokyo stays cold but not extreme.
    Temperature Range:
    Tokyo: 1–12°C (34–54°F)
    Hokkaido: -10–2°C (14–36°F)
    What It Feels Like: Crisp air, wind chill, heated indoor spaces. Amazing for winter festivals and snow activities.

    Winter Must-Haves:
    Warm coat / puffer jacket
    Heattech base layers (Uniqlo sells great options)
    Gloves, hat, scarf
    Moisturizer + lip balm (dry air)
    Heat packs (kairo) — sold everywhere
    Waterproof boots if visiting snowy regions
